The Janice and Charles Drake Library has over 50,000 in-print books, most have a 30-day checkout. The Library Catalog lists all the materials that are available in the library. OKWU Janice and Charles Drake Library uses both Library of Congress Classification and Dewey Decimal Classification to organize our collection. The major of our collection uses LC system, this allows materials to be grouped by subject. These materials are located downstairs. The Children Literature Collection, located upstairs, uses the Dewey Decimal Classification system. If you need assistance please ask a circulation desk attendant.

Your professor may tell you to check out a book that is on reserve in the library. These books are available at the circulation desk. They will have limited checkout periods ranging from 1 hour to 2 weeks. Depending on the professor's request, they may be required to stay in the library.
